Cluster Co-ordinator

If you’re looking for an exciting new fostering role, we’d love to hear from you!

Do you think you have the ability to support other carers? Do you enjoy being creative and feel able to arrange fun activities for carers and children? If so, this could be just what you’re looking for!

We’re looking for an experienced foster carer or a professional with transferrable skills to join our Starfish Enterprise Pilot Project as a Cluster Co-ordinator!

Does this sound like you?

  • Ideally you would have two spare bedrooms to offer occasional sleepovers but one could be considered
  • Could you open up your home to other carers and children for social activities?
  • Do you consider yourself to be a confident, outgoing, proactive individual who enjoys working with carers and young people to achieve their full potential?
  • Do you regard yourself as empathetic, patient and nurturing?

As a Cluster Co-ordinator you will provide support to our amazing carers and the children in their care. This support would involve 1-1 support, sleepover support for our young people and arranging regular activities for everyone in your cluster to join. Ideally, activities could also take place at your home!

As our Cluster Co-ordinator, you will also be responsible for communicating with carers on a regular basis, working alongside our Supervising Social Workers to maintain placements and provide the best support possible to our carers, keep regular recordings and communication regarding the work you are doing within your cluster. The whole purpose of this role is to empower carers and children to build strong relationships with each other, in turn this also aims to prevent issues escalating and maintain positive placements. As a result, it’s important to us that you have the flexibility to work in both emergency and planned situations.

You will benefit from having regular support from a Supervising Social Worker, as well as being included in our regular support groups. You will also have access to our online training programme and face to face training sessions. Last but by no means least, you will also receive a financial allowance.
